Blood type and follicular reserve
Specialists of Albert Einstein Medical College (New York, USA) claim according to the results of the study that women over the age of 30 and having the first blood group have a high FGS level two times more often than women with the second group. Follicle-stimulating hormone is not the only factor affecting the state of the eggs, but its value is quite large.
What measures should be taken if you are worried
First, try to calm down. Group affiliation is not the most common factor affecting successful conception and successful pregnancy. More often, for example, tubal obstruction or polycystic ovary syndrome are causes of infertility. The absolute majority of women with the first blood group independently become pregnant, carry and give birth to absolutely healthy babies. Many women with this group successfully undergo IVF. Couples with AB0-incompatibility in 80% do not have any problems with conception and carrying. When planning a pregnancy, it is much more important to lead a healthy lifestyle, stop drinking alcohol, give up all types of drugs, smoking, follow a healthy diet, avoid overwork and stress. These factors primarily affect the quality of the gametes and the general state of the body of the expectant mother and can significantly increase the chance of giving birth to healthy offspring.
