There are many reasons why people are unable to experience the joy of fatherhood and motherhood. Poor ecology, chronic stress, a frantic pace of life adversely affect the state of the human body and fertility in particular. Infertility can knock at the door to the rich and the poor; it does not choose age and profession. Even perfectly prosperous families, where no one complains about feeling unwell, are sometimes deprived of the joy of being parents. Sometimes the treatment of this disease takes years, and the cherished dream never gets closer.
Is there no way out? There is! Modern assisted reproductive technologies give hope to many couples who face the problem of infertility. One of the most popular is the procedure of in vitro fertilization. It means that the egg cell is fertilized by a sperm cell in vitro, and then after a certain time of development the embryo is placed in the uterus. There the implantation takes place like with any embryo conceived naturally.
IVF has become a real salvation for many families, where women for years could not conceive. Extracorporal fertilization is resorted to single parents and same-sex couples. With this technology, more than 6.5 million babies have been born! Of course, in vitro fertilization has a number of contraindications and risks, however, today it is the most popular reproductive technology.
One of the first questions that concern those who decide to apply to reproductive specialists for the IVF procedure is the question of the cost of the fertilization procedure. We decided to figure out what the price is made of and what affects the cost of in vitro fertilization.
The cost of an IVF procedure depends on a number of factors and circumstances and is determined in each particular case and therefore cannot be fixed. The average cost of a standard set of procedures and examinations in Ukrainian clinics is about $ 6500. The fertilization procedure is carried out using the ICSI method. The procedure presupposes that a single spermatozoon, carefully selected for a complex of factors and criteria, is introduced into the cytoplasm of the egg cell under the electron microscope. This method allows even with low sperm motility to obtain an embryo that is genetically related to parents.
In drawing up an estimate of expenses, it should be taken into account that during examinations of future parents, specialists may have exacerbations of chronic or newly discovered diseases before IVF. If this happens, before performing in vitro fertilization, you will need to undergo therapy and achieve a complete cure of acute or lasting remission of chronic diseases. Treatment can increase the cost of IVF, however, its implementation is a must before the fertilization procedure.
